    • Flexible Structure of Cloud Computing on Xen Virtualization Technology

      Abstract:Cloud Computing provides infrastructure as a service (IaaS) for users based on virtualization technology. The load of applications and services on IaaS platform is dynamic, thus its demand of virtual resource is also dynamic. Therefore, to collect and analyze the virtual resources footprint of in the platform, and flexibly scheduling them on demand has become the key point to improve overall service performance and resource utilization ratio of the cloud computing platform. This paper, with the concern of load balancing and reducing the user cost of the cloud platform, brings forward an elastic cloud structure based on the load of virtual machine in the platform. Simulation results show that the method can improve the utilization ratio of virtual resources and reduce user cost.

    • Expert System of Crane Based on Bayesian Networks

      Abstract:This paper proposes a method to improve Knowledge Base Expert System (KBES) of Some Large Crane, grounded on Expert Rules. On detecting failures of the Large Crane, the improved system can diagnose almost all possible reasons for failures, and measure the occurrence probability of each. The diagnosis process is supported by reasoning, according to Bayesian Network, constructed by Expert Experience. Another feature of this system is adopting a method to initialize Bayesian Network and learn Bayesian Network CPT. By comparison, applications of conventional and improved expert system to failure diagnosis presented in this paper, illustrate that the latter can identify the cause of failure more promptly and accurately.

      Abstract:Medical information technology industry is closely related to the level of people’s healthcare. The current situation of our national health information technology industries is not optimistic yet. The main questions focus on the following aspects: medical institutions are unable to exchange medical information, medical resources cannot be shared, within industry there are too many heterogeneous systems, and the industry standards are not fully introduced, and so on. This paper proposes a standards-based framework for regional collaborative medical platform in line with national conditions and played a certain role model for domestic similar studies.

      Abstract:A system of acquisition and processing of binocular image is introduced in this paper. Based on complex programmable logic device CPLD and high speed digital signal processor DSP, this system includes of CMOS image sensor, high speed read-write memory SDRAM and FLASH memory. The system completes the real-time acquisition, storing and matching of binocular image. This paper describes the entire structure of the system and a part of details of hardware design. It briefly recites some methods of matching algorithms and proposed a enhanced Census matching algorithm.

      Abstract:VPN system generally lacks the ability to adjust to the feedback from status and performance monitoring. To deal with this problem, an integration of feedback adjustment and real-time monitoring solution is introduced based on OpenVPN, which understands the status of VPN service, communicates with the management interface to adjust its behaviors, executes the administrative procedures according to the feedback automatically, and uses SNMP protocol to make an agent to provide real-time monitor, make the administrator understand system parameters through Cacti, ensures a continuous, reliable and high-efficiency vpn service. The experiments show that system can optimize the operation according to the status and rules, and provide a real-time performance view.

      Abstract:Aviation instrument simulation is an important part in flight simulator. Considering current development of vitual reality technology and practical request of the flight simulator, this paper gives a description of virtual aviation instrument construction and application. The system uses professional software VAPS to design the appearance of aviation instrument simulation. It uses VAPS and C++ language to achieve the communication between the aviation instrument simulation. It uses C programming language to describe the VAPS Communications interface to other applications. The network communication uses UDP/IP. The simulation results show that VAPS modeling is a simple and efficient instrument. It provides a reference on virtual simulation technology.

      Abstract:For on-line voltage stability monitoring requires high real time property, a set of online voltage stability monitoring system is designed in this paper. The power grid voltage stability is analyzed through the data from energy management system (EMS), to prevent power system voltage collapse through either the active preventive control or the user-defined preventive control according to the analysis results. This system is mainly developed with C++, Java language, with front-end Ajax framework combined which is unrelated to background. This system is friendly in man-machine interface, functionally comprehensive and easy to operate. It provides preventive control strategy in time for the operation personnel so as to ensure the gird reliability.

    • Efficient Separation on Melon Pedicel with Corner Detection

      Abstract:Accurate detection and segmentation of the pedicels are important tasks in a melon quality-rating system which is based on image processing. It presents a novel method of detecting the pedicels and erasing them in the melon images. The corners of a melon image are extracted firstly, and most of them distributes in the pedicel. Utilizing this feature, the pedicels exactly and erase them easily can be detected. The proposed method is not sensitive to variations of their shape, length, thickness of pedicels, and thus is adaptable. The experimental results show that, compared with the several existing approaches, the accuracy of the proposed method is improved and the average time cost is reduced.

    • Multidimensional-Semantics-Based Web Medicine Information Extraction

      Abstract:A multidimensional-semantics based Web information extraction method is proposed in this article to extract medicine information on the Web. The method overcomes the heterogeneity of Web pages from different sources and finds the common characteristics among them by building up a semantic dictionary and describes the knowledge of medicine information over the Web. At the same time, it utilizes a structural-semantic-entropy-based approach to detect data-rich sections on Web pages, then extract information of interest from them and finally verify and supplement the extracted information by generating extraction rules using XPath. The method is able to obtain information from heterogeneous sources both automatically and effectively. Experiments shown that it has high precision and recall, thus can provide sufficient information for the government to enhance supervision of medicine market on the Web.

    • Word-Class Expansion Method About Training Corpus of Language Modal in Restrcited Domain

      Abstract:It is time-consuming to collect training corpus of language modal in restricted domain. The insufficiency of corpus will lead to the problem of training data sparsity. There are two common methods to solve this problem. One is reducing the complexion of modal through data smoothing. The other is expanding the corpus. In this paper, a semiautomatic method to expand training corpus of language modal is proposed. A large list of word classes is generated by calculating the mutual information of non-restricted areas corpus in large scale. Then, those word classes related to the restricted domain is extracted and manually cut out to estimate parameters of language modal. Experimental results show that the method could effectively solve the problem of training data sparsity, and improve the recognition rate of speech recognition system.

      Abstract:In the network fault management based on active probe, the first job is to determine the deployment of monitoring probe. Non-deterministic environment will impact the monitoring probe selection. In order to reduce the influence, a probe station deployment approach is proposed with select routing for active probe based on probability dependence model. The faults in the network can be localized sooner and cost-effectively using the active probes sent from the probe stations placed in the network. The simulation indicates that the algorithm has strong ability of fault location and cost-effectively.

      Abstract:The traditional diagnostic model has not considered that there exists the possibility of irrational mistakes when testing. While it is an indispensable factor in the actual test to effect the result of one’s test. The existing diagnostic model has combined the knowledge space theory and diagnosis to get the state of knowledge subjects. But with the continuous development of measurement theory, there is growing concern about the skill level of testee. This article applied diagnosis to Extension of Knowledge Space and proposed a diagnosis model with extension of the knowledge space that uses the formula in item response theory. The diagnosis model could still effectively diagnose the skill level of testee when those mistakes happened.

    • Research and Realization of a User-Mode Driver Framework

      Abstract:Based on the research of Linux Device Driver Model, this paper proposes and implements a new user-mode device driver framework called U2MDF(Unified User-Mode Driver Framework). The core idea of U2MDF is splitting the traditional device driver into two parts. One called kernel-mode driver component contains the hot code related to performance or critical paths, such as interrupt handler, and the other called user-mode driver component contains the performance-independent code, such as the device initialization. To take network device RTL8139 for an example, the prototype system is implemented. Experiments show that U2MDF reduces the driver code that runs in the kernel mode effectively and isolates the driver and kernel roughly. Therefore it ultimately improves the reliability of operating systems.

    • Power Balance System for Dual-SRM Driven Shearers

      Abstract:To solve the unbalanced power output problem of dual-SRM synchronous driven shears, a power balance control system has been designed based on current cross-coupling algorithm and speed setting regulation control. The control system model has been established by using MATLAB/SIMULINK and simulation experiments have been accomplished. When a disturbance (its magnitude is 10% of the rated load) is applied on the drive-motor, compared with current system, the torque output difference of dual-SRM controlled by the designed system has been lowered by 7%, the maximum decrease of synchronous speed has been reduced by 3.5% and the transient time has been decreased by 1.5s. The results show that the designed power balance control system has improved both the synchronous accuracy of dual-SRM and the anti-disturbance capability of entire speed regulation system.

      Abstract:This paper is mainly concerned with finding ways to resolve the signal inaccuracy problem in indoor wireless positioning system which based on receiving signal strength (RSS). It introduced a kind of kalman filtering algorithm which based on fuzzy adaptive control. This filter method cannot only effectively suppress the error of positioning data information, but is also able to make full use of linear interpolation method to compensation stochastic error. Experiments show that it can effectively improve the positioning accuracy against stationary and moving target, and can more full satisfy the complex interior space positioning demand.

    • Distributed Video Transcoding on Hadoop

      Abstract:Based on study of current video transcoding solutions, we proposed a distributed transcoding system. Video resources are stored in HDFS(Hadoop Distributed File System) and transcoded by MapReduce program using FFMPEG. In this paper, video segmentation strategy on distributed storage and how they affect accessing time are discussed. We also defined metadata of video formats and transcoding parameters. The distributed transcoding framework is proposed on basis of MapReduce programming model. Segmented source videos are transcoding in map tasks and merged into target video in reduce task. Experimental results show that transcoding time is dependent on segmentation size and trascoding cluster size. Compared with single PC, the proposed distributed video transcoding system implemented on 8 PCs can decrease about 80% of the transcoding time.

      Abstract:Trajectory Changing of the industrial robots are often accompanied by system noise, interference, and the introduction of its own inertia parameters change, and the traditional iterative control algorithm is difficult to achieve high precision and high-speed control requirements. This article combines adaptive control and robust control and the iterative algorithm together to improve the control precision; when the given task is changed, the historical control experience estimates the changes in training estimated input after the system's expectations, as the initial iteration controller input, the controller works as joint fuzzy cerebellar feed-forward control, when new tasks arise it avoids the choice of the initial amount of the blind in the order to achieve high-speed control purposes. At last the robot system simulation results show the validity and rationality of the algorithm.

      Abstract:Task scheduling is an extremely important research direction in the reconfigurable multi-FPGAs systems. Referencing to the scheduling algorithm in homogeneous and heterogeneous computing, combining its own characteristics of the reconfigurable multi-FPGA computing model, and based on the existing scheduling algorithm, task duplication method is introduced in this paper. If the parent and son nodes on the longest path of the excess task graph are not on the same FPGA, through looking for the Duplicate Space on the FPGA,the proposed algorithm will duplicate the parent node onto the FPGA where the child node is, reducing the cost of communication between tasks. The experimental results show that for a directed acyclic graph of the task scheduling, the makespan of the proposed method is superior to or equal to the performance lower bound of the previous methods, moreover, the utilization of FPGA has been increased.

      Abstract:Compared with traditional hard disk drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs) are shock-resistant and quieter, and have lower power consumption, lower access time and latency while HDDs have much higher capacity and are cheaper than SSDs. To have the merits of both sides while avoiding their disadvantages, we propose a hetero-drive to combine SSD and HDD by using SSD as a cache for HDD, which creates more idle time for HDD to shut-down for power-saving. At the same time, we put forth a decay-enforcement replacement algorithm (DE algorithm for short) which takes both recency and pastness effect of accesses into account. The experimental results show that our strategy achieves very competitive performance against those traditional buffer replacement algorithms.

      Abstract:There are sparse ratings problem in the traditional CF recommendation algorithm, and based on this sparse ratings will lead to the fact that the similarity may not be accurate. For this reason, a CF algorithm based on fixed I-U ratings matrix, which is given by a certain ratings of user behavior instead of vacancies rating, and weighted coefficient K bases on users’ role to constrain the similarity calculation is proposed. Experiments show that the improved algorithm has better recommendation quality.

    • Geometric Distortion Correction Based on Uniformly-Spaced Lines

      Abstract:Images geometric distortion would reduce the accuracy of dimensional measurement in Camera Vision Measurement Systems, so we need to correct it. So far, there are two typical distortion correction methods based on a single image. One is a parameter-free method utilizing the transference between the feature points in a checkerboard pattern and its images, and the other is a parameterize method utilizing the geometric constraints such as rectilinear elements or vanishing points. Both of those methods should get lots of feature points’ coordinate, but it will get a wrong coordinate when the feature point is a isolated point, therefore sometimes those method have a bad correction effect. In this paper, we propose a uniformly-spaced lines method and establish a relation of the spacing interval and distortion parameter from the distortion model. We could compute the distortion parameter from the spacing interval between lines we have detected in the image. In the end, we use the uniformly-spaced lines method to correct some distorted images. The result shows that this method has a low-level calculated amount and a nice correction effect.

      Abstract:As the agricultural data has such complex characteristics as seasonality, timeliness, multi-level nature as well as novelty, furthermore, the present data mining software is closely coupled, data mining algorithms is hard to reused and inflexible replaced, this paper presents a theoretic framework for Web-based agricultural data mining platform. Then, it implements prototyping platform called agri-Miner with Responsibility Chain Pattern, thus to ensure this architecture to be scalable and data mining arithmetic to be replaced. Finally, this platform is successfully applied in data analysis as plant diseases and insect pests, so to verify its effectiveness of Web-based agricultural data mining platform.

      Abstract:The Web Information Extraction and Knowledge Presentation System is proposed to extract information from data intensive web pages. It downloads dynamic web pages, based on a knowledge database, changes them to XML documents after preprocessing, finds repeated patterns from them, by using a PAT-array based Pattern Discovery Algorithm, recognizes their data display structure models, automatically based on the repeated patterns and an ontology-based keyword library, and then extracts the data and stores them in the knowledge database with the object-relational mapping technology of XML. Through these steps, web data is extracted automatically, and the knowledge database is also expanded automatically. Experiments on the traffic information auto-extraction and mixed traffic travel schemes auto-creation system showed that the system has high precision and is adaptive to web pages in different domains with different structures.

      Abstract:BootLoader program is the essential function of almost all intelligent devices. If the products are found to have significant BUG or need to be upgraded after leaving the factory, it can help engineers to easily update programs. Generally speaking, embedded software is more closely linked with the hardware. So that the successfully application of BootLoader program on different hardware platforms are diversified, in which, however, the same basic idea is applied. This paper raises several problems often encountered in the operation process of the BootLoader program and introduces the solutions for them by taking ColdFire V1 microcontroller MCF51AC MCU platform of Freescale Company as an example, which will present some references for the other platforms.

    • Honeynet-Based Linkage Model for Network Security

The wireless network node is composed by CC2530. The design of topology and routing and the realization of system’s ZigBee network are introduced in this paper. Practice shows that the lighting monitoring system based on ZigBee has merits of widely covered network, low cost, small size and high efficiency.

This paper takes the incineration of the complex control system as an example. With Fuzzy control theory, it proposes fuzzy PID control, and uses matlab simulation tools. It has a small overshoot, good stability and strong adaptability, and achieves the desired control effect.

The advantages of swarm intelligence and fast convergence make it suitable for large-scale complex network optimization problems. This paper analyses several strategies to improve particle swarm optimization, identify the advantages relative to the standard algorithm, and seizes the fast convergence characteristics of PSO. Through adjusting the algorithm parameters and the algorithm structure, it compensates the defect of the algorithm’s easy to fall into local optimum defect effectively, thereby increase its global search capability. Through proper selection of the correspondence of solution spaces and particles of PSO, it applies PSO to Open pit road network routing problem successfully.

      Abstract:In terms of the defects, such as poor interaction and slow response, of traditional WebGIS, through in-depth study of the Flex technology, we propose an application framework developing WebGIS with Flex. We describe each part of the implementation in detail, and analyze the problem in this framework, that is serialization of task calls can not be implemented in the Flex presentation layer, then give specific design and implementation scheme. Through the application in the Emergency Rescue Command System, it turns out that this framework not only enhances the interaction of WebGIS, improves the efficiency of development, but also can efficiently implement the serialization of task calls, obtains satisfied results.

      Abstract:Regression testing means testing the modified software. Improving the efficiency of error analysis of regression testing, based on the current thinking in the heat path in the application of program analysis, combined with program slicing method, proposed an efficient method for regression testing.Firstly finding out the method path frequencies of execution in the program-level execution, application of combined application Dslice slicing algorithm for regression testing, the procedure known to debug errors, more accurately locate the method error level. The results show that the path through the heat combined with the proceeds of program slicing algorithm can improve the efficiency of regression testing, error analysis.

PCA was employed to extract features of time series by reducing the correlated variables to principal components. The specific data of the rotary kiln thermal data has been used as experiment data. And use it as an aid-control to expert system. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method is feasible.

      Abstract:MFCC is widely used in Chinese digital identification. Because the amount of MFCC extracted from 0-9 is too large, the mean of model parameters which is clustered with GMM by MFCC to reduce the amount is employed as a new feature with DTW for Chinese digital identification. Simulation results demonstrate that the amount of the new feature is 30.9% to that of MFCC, the running time reduces by 237.18s, but the recognition rate decreases by 1.11%.

      Abstract:This paper proposes a meaningful digital watermarking algorithm for remote sensing image based on DCT and fractal theory. Firstly, it determines self-similar blocks for watermark embedding by using fractal technology, then scrambles the watermark with Arnold transformation and the scrambled watermark image next be scanned into one-dimensional sequence, at last it applies DCT to the selected self-similar blocks and embedds the watermark into the blocks. Experiments have shown that the algorithm proposed in this paper has good invisibility, simple calculation, easy realization, and extracting watermark without the original remote sensing image. And it is well robust against JEPG compression, filtering and noise superimposed attacking.

      Abstract:A Link quality based sub-cluster routing for wireless sensor networks is proposed. The new algorithm utilizes a link quality evaluation model in Gauss distribution, link quality is taken into accout in selecting cluster head, In addition, a dynamic window is presented to record the realtime link information. Simulation results indicate that compared with LEACH and HEED, the adoption of link quality based routing metric can provide longer network lifetime and higher reliability of the data transmission.

      Abstract:For the lack of existing RFID systems, to design an Active RFID systems based on ZigBee technology. This paper elaborates hardware design of active RFID systems, respectively gives software architecture of reader and active tag, and completes the communication between reader and active tag by studying the Z-Stack protocol. TI’s CC2591 power amplifier chip is adopted, increasing the communication range of reader and tag. And low-power design is achieved by increasing in sleep time and reducing communication flows. Ultimately the long-range, multi-node active RFID system is realized in this paper.

      Abstract:Inference of network internal link statistics has become an important condition for operating and evaluating large-scale telecommunication networks. Since it is not realistic to directly monitor each link along some specific path, so end-to-end probes are used to collect the network link statistics at terminal nodes of the network. This paper uses an unicast probing method to infer the link delay statistics. This paper proposes a bias corrected estimator for the internal link delay cumulant generating function (CGF) based on unicast probe end-to-end delay measurements. This paper shows that the proposed estimator obtains the smaller mean square error comparable to link delay CGF estimates obtaines from directly measured link delay statistics.

      Abstract:In order to improve detection efficiency and accuracy of pin parameters, a non-contact measurement method of pin based on subpixel edge localization is presented in this paper. Firstly, LOG operator is used to seek approximate localization on pixel level, which can keep the intact edge information of image while restraining the noise. Then, improved Zernike moment is used to abstract subpixel edge localization. Finally, the exact edge of pin is gained from the discrete subpixel points using the least square fitting method. The experimental results show that this method can locate the edge with high accuracy and good stability, and satisfy the request of the on-line detection of pin.

    • Texture Image Retrieval Based on Ring-Like Rectangular Blocks

      Abstract:A new method for texture image retrieval which is based on ring-like rectangular blocks is proposed. It divides into the image the ring-like rectangle fringing field, the central ring-like rectangle region and the core rectangle region. No treatment is for the outermost edge area, this can significantly reduce retrieval time and little influence on retrieval effect. The texture feature vector composed of GLCM-based energy, contrast and entropy is calculated for each image central area and core area. Sum of two region euclidean distance decides these two image similarity. Ring-like rectangular has rotation invariance, but calculations easier. Validated by experiments, for some categories it has better search results.

      Abstract:According to the smart grid’s “informatization, digital, intelligent” requirement, this paper designed a new power metre based on power carrier communication. First it introduced the prinple of the carrier communication, and detailedly elaborated the working principle and function of the power meter, adopting high precision “energy metering ADE7755+microprocessor chip” plan to realize the measurement of the power parameters, monitoring and adjustment. In the end, the system error analysis were elaborated in detail. Priliminary tests showed that the power meter accuracy in measuring, the performance was good, intelligent, and meet the design requirements.

      Abstract:To overcome the shortcomings of traditional fire emergency diversion lamp, this paper designed a new type of intelligent cluster emergency evacuation terminal. The intelligent terminal adoption of MCU technology to achieve the timely monitoring and functional operation, and used CN3052A to manage Lithium Battery charge and discharge reasonably. In peacetime, through RS485 communication network the server can real-time monitor each terminal, reporting the real-time status of them. When dangers occur, messages was sent to each terminal automatically, lighting type terminal automatically turned on, and intelligent terminal of instruction class judge the reasonable escape routes according to the situation of danger. Theoretical analysis shows that this design is highly practical.

      Abstract:On the basis of analyzing the working principle of ADC and touch screen for resistance, using ADC and GPIO module of the microprocessor LM3S3749 instead of dedicated controller ADS7846 touch screen. The hardware connection between LM3S3749 and LCD touch screen Interface circuit was designed, and a necessary program flowchart and function code was given. The method of obtaining coordinates of touch screen and the algorithms of LCD screen display synchronization were proposed to improve the efficiency of touch screen and LCD screen, and to satisfy the control precision.

    • Mining Frequent Closed Patterns for Very High Dimensional Data: A Review

      Abstract:Mining frequent patterns is a fundamental and essential problem in many data mining applications. Mining frequent closed itemsets provides complete and non-redundant results for frequent pattern analysis. The growth of bioinformatics has resulted in datasets with new characteristics. These datasets typically contain a large number of columns. Such high-dimendional datasets pose a great challenge for existing closed frequent pattern discovery algorithms. This paper presents a survey of the various algorithms for mining frequent closed itemsets in very high dimensional data along with a hierarchy organizing the algorithms by their characteristics. We compare two row enumeration-based algorithms, discuss an algorithm which is designed to automatically switch between feature enumeration and row enumeration during the mining process based on the characteristics of the data subset being considered, and finally point out the research direction in this field.
