    Abstract:

    An interactive virtual roaming system integrates many elements, such as hardware, interactive technology, and content, and its designers consider these elements to meet users’ requirements. Because the current virtual roaming system is subject to the limitations on the application scope and cost, its development environment, methods and technology are not conducive to promotion. First, this study analyzes and compares the language development tools and their functions in the applications of an interactive virtual roaming system. It then proposes a feasible design and development process for the interactive applications of the virtual roaming system with regard to an actual project. On this basis, application software and hardware platforms are designed for the interactive virtual roaming system (namely the combination of hardware and interactive technology), and the construction and optimization process of the interactive digital campus virtual roaming system is illustrated with specific cases . The platform has many advantages, such as favorable portability, flexible combination, high standardization, and low cost, and the design carefully considers users’ personal preferences and designers’ self-evaluation.
