VPN technology provides better network security. There are more technology architectures. It can be realized by configuration on multiple platforms. This paper analyzes the differences of tunneling technologies of VPN, and explain the VPN configuration steps in detail on the Cisco IOS, Linux, Windows etc. It displays configuration features and differences on the platforms.
