Replica location is the key problem of replica management in a data grid. It is also the basis of data access and management. This paper analyzes the pitfall of centralized and distributed replica locations that are used in replica location. By proposing a hybrid strategy of data replica location, scattering replica location information in different domain location nodes, logical file name location index, which is logically centralized, can be used to locate replica information.
