    Abstract:

    This paper first introduces the realizing principle of Multimedia Ring Back Tone (MRBT) service based on IP Multimedia Subsystem(IMS). After analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of that implementation, it presents a faster and more economical implementation scheme of MRBT service based on Independent Intelligent Peripheral(IIP) platform. In the new schema, CN(Control Node) controls the MSIP(MultiMedia Server Intellectual Processor) board to implement the MRBT service via VIPS(Virtual Integrated Programmable Switch) proxy application. The system structure and the internal signal interactive process are also presented. Finally, it gives the brief implementation mechanism for improvement of IIP.
