Retinex algorithm is an important method in the field of color image enhancement, and it has rich connotation. Aiming at the limitations of traditional Retinex algorithm in color distortion and halo, the paper discusses and analyzes a series of related improved methods based on color space transformation, color correction, and estimated illumination component design. Finally, the further possible research directions of Retinex algorithm are pointed out.
