The distributed and complex trends suggest the new requirements for customization, extensibility and agility of the enterprise architecture modelling methods. In this study, three kinds of mainstream enterprise architecture modelling methods Zachman, FEA, and TOGAF are introduced and compared, and the high-level ArchiMate modelling standard with the existing low-level modelling standard UML are also compared and evaluated. Through a real case study, this paper demonstrates the application of designing enterprise architecture using ArchiMate, and how to customize ArchiMate in real environment.
