This paper synthetically analyzes the situation and the growing trend of the engineering drawing information management system. Based on the characteristics of manufacturing industry, the paper offers a proposal suitful for the drawing information management of the manufacturing industry. It introduces the present technology on database and the system framework, and analyzes the framework S: C/S and B/S by comparison. It selects VS 2005 as the developing tool and SQL Server 2005 as the database supply and sets up an engineering drawing information management system.
