Based on current college IT construction in Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Communications, this paper discusses strategies, objectives, granularity and model of deploying a data warehouse. First it begins with Data Mart; this paper presents a good practice of building a data warehouse with the strategy of bottom to top. finally, it uses OLAP to analyze students' score and charge data.
